Brothers, as you saw in our November and December newsletters, Council 9597 will be holding it’s annual “Keep Christ in Christmas” dinner after the 5 pm Mass on Saturday, December 6th (That’s tomorrow!!). For those who have been, you’ll recall it as a fun social occasion to spend time with your family and brother Knights. Those who haven’t ever been should look forward to good food, good company, and an opportunity to reflect on the “Reason for the Season”, our Lord and savior, Jesus Christ.
Saint Nicholas, former bishop of Myra, will be making an appearance (more or less) as he has in years past. If you’d like St. Nick to deliver a gift to a child/grandchild, bring it, and make sure it is clearly marked with the recipients name. He’ll also be available for family photos!
Attendees should bring a side dish to share. The council will provide Turkey and Ham, mashed potatoes, some beverage choices, and dessert.
I look forward to seeing many of you there! For those who cannot join us, let this be an opportunity for me to wish all of you a blessed Advent, and the merriest of Christmases!
