Since the Archdiocese has cancelled all masses this weekend it means we will not have the Soup Supper tonight and we will not have the Pancake Breakfast on Sunday. We still do plan on cleaning up W 15th Pl on Saturday starting at 8:30 AM.
Brother Knights,The Knights of Columbus has officially transitioned to a new Exemplification for welcoming new members to the Knights. Our Exemplification of Charity, Unity, and Fraternity is now a public event and all are welcome to attend. If you are a 1st or 2nd degree Knight, this event is for you. Once we conclude the ceremony all will be 3rd degree Knights. The program takes about 30 minutes. Our first new Exemplification will take place March 29th at 12:30 pm in the Our Lady of Fatima Church. We will have a reception and a welcoming gathering afterward in the Parish Hall.
Anyone who is a 1st or 2nd degree Knight who would like to earn their 3rd degree, Please contact John Pickard at 303-980-8912. Also, this is an opportunity to invite anyone you know who wants to join the Knights to get all three degrees in one short ceremony.
Brother Knights, The Knights of Columbus will be hosting the Soup Suppers after the Mass and Stations of the Cross on Fridays during lent. We have a sign up genius for anyone in the Parish who can help provide soup for the suppers or who would like to volunteer to assist with the suppers. You do not have to be a Knight, anyone and everyone are welcome to help us out. Of course we want as many Knights to assist as well.

Or you can call me, John Pickard at 303-980-8912 and let me know how you would like to help. I will add you to the sign up.
Thank you for the Knights who helped at the Pinewood Derby.
Thanks to Russ Williams, Norbert Boeckham, Keith Mobley and Michael Majeres.
Brothers, please take a few minutes to complete the 1728 for calendar year 2019. Just think about what you accomplished in 2019, whether it as part of a knights program, or on your own. By filling this out, it helps our order justify its tax-exemption and shows everyone that the Knights are valued members of the greater community. If you don’t like filling the form out online, you can download the form from kofc.org or grab a paper copy from me. Here’s the link: https://forms.gle/BDb4U8psxS4bSH8G7

Brothers, it is time once again for our monthly pancake breakfast. This Sunday (January 19th) we will gather together to serve our parish a delicious breakfast and raise funds for the OLF Youth Group. The opening team needs to start about 6:30 a.m. to prepare food, setup the tables, and get supplies pulled together. Servers and bussers are needed after the 7 and 9 am Masses. Late sleepers are encouraged to come help with cleanup and getting supplies put away. Everything should be done before noon. Please use our Sign-up genius in the Knights web site (Kofc9597.org) under “For Members” then select Volunteer Signup then select January Pancake Breakfast. Even if you can’t help, please come and eat breakfast with your parish family and fraternal brothers.
I was approached with a request to see if any Knights would be available to assist with decorating the Church for Christmas. The help is needed Monday morning the 23rd at 9 am until finished. There will be some heavy lifting and some climbing of ladders. So if you are not already booked for Monday morning the 23rd and can lend a hand it will be most appreciated.
GK John Pickard
The Keep Christ in Christmas Dinner was a very successful event with about 80 folks in attendance. All had fun with the wonderful food, poster contest and visit with St. Nicholas. A special thanks to Brother Chris Mancinelli for organizing the evening.
