Brothers, please take a few minutes to complete the 1728 for calendar year 2019. Just think about what you accomplished in 2019, whether it as part of a knights program, or on your own. By filling this out, it helps our order justify its tax-exemption and shows everyone that the Knights are valued members of the greater community. If you don’t like filling the form out online, you can download the form from kofc.org or grab a paper copy from me. Here’s the link: https://forms.gle/BDb4U8psxS4bSH8G7

Brothers, it is time once again for our monthly pancake breakfast. This Sunday (January 19th) we will gather together to serve our parish a delicious breakfast and raise funds for the OLF Youth Group. The opening team needs to start about 6:30 a.m. to prepare food, setup the tables, and get supplies pulled together. Servers and bussers are needed after the 7 and 9 am Masses. Late sleepers are encouraged to come help with cleanup and getting supplies put away. Everything should be done before noon. Please use our Sign-up genius in the Knights web site (Kofc9597.org) under “For Members” then select Volunteer Signup then select January Pancake Breakfast. Even if you can’t help, please come and eat breakfast with your parish family and fraternal brothers.
I was approached with a request to see if any Knights would be available to assist with decorating the Church for Christmas. The help is needed Monday morning the 23rd at 9 am until finished. There will be some heavy lifting and some climbing of ladders. So if you are not already booked for Monday morning the 23rd and can lend a hand it will be most appreciated.

The Keep Christ in Christmas Dinner was a very successful event with about 80 folks in attendance. All had fun with the wonderful food, poster contest and visit with St. Nicholas. A special thanks to Brother Chris Mancinelli for organizing the evening.

Come celebrate the true meaning of Christmas with stockings for the kids, good food and a program that celebrates the true meaning of Christmas. We are asking that A-M to bring a dessert and N-Z to bring a side dish. To get an estimate on the number of kids attending, please RSVP to Chris Mancinelli @ 303-810-0617 (leave message) or email@example.com with how many kiddos will be attending.
We now have all of November covered! Thank you to the brother Knights who signed up to take the Elijah Chalice home to pray for vocations. Now if we could just get a few more Knights to cover December it would send a wonderful message of support to our clergy and to all discerning if a vocation is right for them. This Saturday, Oct. 19th, the council will have a team to clean up on 15th Place between Miller St. and Kipling. Activities will start at 8 am and are expected to take less than an hour. Brother Knight Norbert Boeckman will have all the supplies you might need. This program is one of the ways we serve our larger community outside the parish, and is part of our “Helping Hands” required program. If you have a few minutes to help with our chores before getting going on your own honey-do list, we’d be happy to see you!
Brother Knights, We have the opportunity to welcome several new members to our Council Tuesday night the 22nd of October. We will be holding an Exemplification at 6:00 pm followed by a social to welcome our new members in the Parish Hall. It would be very impressive if we could have a good showing of members to welcome our new Brother Knights into our Council.
The Council will provide a variety of drinks. If you can make it we ask that you bring a nice hors d’oeuvre or snack to share. The Social will begin at about 6:45, or when we are done with the Exemplification.
