Keep Christ in Christmas – December 7th

The Knights of Columbus will be holding its annual “Keep Christ in Christmas” celebration dinner on Saturday, December 7, 2019 after the 5:00 mass.  Come celebrate the true meaning of Christmas with stockings for the kids, good food and a program that celebrates the true meaning of Christmas.  We are asking that A-M to bring a dessert and N-Z to bring a side dish. To get an estimate on the number of kids attending, please RSVP to Chris Mancinelli @ 303-810-0617 (leave message) or cmancinelli@msn.com with how many kiddos will be attending.

We also need your assistance in order to make this a great celebration.  Please see the sign-up genius on the Knights web site to sign up for where you can assist (SIGN UP COMING SOON)

Elijah Chalice Update

We now have all of November covered! Thank you to the brother Knights who signed up to take the Elijah Chalice home to pray for vocations. Now if we could just get a few more Knights to cover December it would send a wonderful message of support to our clergy and to all discerning if a vocation is right for them. 15th Place Cleanup

This Saturday, Oct. 19th, the council will have a team to clean up on 15th Place between Miller St. and Kipling. Activities will start at 8 am and are expected to take less than an hour.  Brother Knight Norbert Boeckman will have all the supplies you might need.  This program is one of the ways we serve our larger community outside the parish, and is part of our “Helping Hands” required program.  If you have a few minutes to help with our chores before getting going on your own honey-do list, we’d be happy to see you!

Exemplification and Social October 22nd

Brother Knights, We have the opportunity to welcome several new members to our Council Tuesday night the 22nd of October. We will be holding an Exemplification at 6:00 pm followed by a social to welcome our new members in the Parish Hall. It would be very impressive if we could have a good showing of members to welcome our new Brother Knights into our Council.
The Council will provide a variety of drinks. If you can make it we ask that you bring a nice hors d’oeuvre or snack to share. The Social will begin at about 6:45, or when we are done with the Exemplification.

Council Picnic

Please join us for our annual Council 9597 picnic on July 13th at 6:00 (after the 5:00 Saturday mass) in the parish center.  All council members and their families are welcome.  Please bring a side dish if your last name ends in A-P and a dessert if your last name ends in Q-Z.

Hamburgers, hot dogs and brats as well as beer, wine and lemonade will be provided along with a celebration cake.

Help setting up and cleaning up is always welcome.   Set-up starts at 4:00 and cleanup after the food is gone.

Come support the Council and have a great time…

“Cheers To Life” Sales Help Needed After ll Masses

Brothers

We will be selling the tickets to this year’s Knights Ultrasound Fundraising Event, “Cheers to Life” again this weekend (Feb 20-21) after all masses. I know we have the pancake breakfast as well so a lot of activity however it is a great opportunity for us to be in front of the parish for the cause. As a reminder, the event is being held on April 23rd from 6:30 to 9pm in the OLF school gymnasium and the cost remains at $45 per ticket. As in the previous weekend, we will need assistance selling tickets after all the masses until we reach our goal of selling 250 tickets. It is our most ambitious event to date however we are encouraged by the tremendous results last year, and we are called by the Holy Spirit to continue our efforts in support of respecting the sanctity of life in all of its stages.

We will need brothers to man the sales table after all masses for the weekend of Feb 20-21. This year we will also be accepting credit cards using the “Square” on iPhones and iPads. Please contact Br. Ritchey  if you will be able to assist after masses this weekend. Woody will be at all the masses in support of the sales. Thanks in advance all you do to make “Cheers to Life!” such a terrific event.
