Two Important Scheduling Notes

Brother Knights, I have two updates to schedules to share with you tonight.

Most urgently, Brother Pete Zuniga called me this evening and asked to reschedule the essay scoring session on Feb. 21st.  Given the weather concerns we all have for the coming snow storm, I agreed with him that we should push the essay grading out a week,  So NO gathering tomorrow morning to judge essays.

Less urgently, but just as important, I want to remind everyone that the March business meeting has been moved from March 10th (second Tuesday) to March 24th (fourth Tuesday) in order to accommodate the parish mission which will run March 9th-11th.  The opportunities for spiritual growth and participation in parish life are more important than keeping our normal schedule.  So, March Business meeting is March 24th.

Thanks for all you do for our council and our parish.  Vivat Jesus!

Request for Volunteers This Sunday – Free Throw Contest

Brother knights,

In support of the free throw contest this coming Sunday, January 25, we need a few volunteers.  Here’s what we’ll need help with:
  • Working the registration table for contestants as they arrive (2)
  • Judging each competitor as they shoot (2)
  • Rebounders (4+)

Set up will start at 1230-1, while competitors are arriving.  The competition will start at 130pm.  Set up entails getting the registration table up and organized, marking the closer free throw line for the younger shooters, and helping arrange the age groups.

Please, if you are available, come to help and support this fun event!

Knights Needed to Lead Rosary Before Masses (last weekend of this month)

ros4A reminder that we still have times available for you to lead the congregation in praying the Rosary the last weekend of October.  Many of you will be there helping distribute tootsie rolls, so please consider also helping the Altar and Rosary Society fill this commitment.  Please contact Tom to select a spot;  tom.martinez@cdccoors.com or call 3039617355. We will not pray the Rosary before the Sunday evening Mass because the instrumental group warms up in the church before that Mass. Also, for any of the slots that only have one Knight praying, if you’d like to partner up, that would be great.
